TAG repositioned the existing 32,000-square-foot Mobile Museum of Art and expanded it to a $12,500,000, 95,000-square-foot cultural attraction. The project was completed in September 2002 as part of the City’s Tricentennial Celebration. New program spaces include flexible galleries for traveling exhibitions, a permanent collection gallery, local artist concourse, a grand lakefront lobby capable of seating 250 guests, kitchen and banquet facilities, conservation standard collection storage and processing, an orientation theater, auditorium, office and conference room, and interactive studios for educational and public involvement.
