project description

TAG designed the new Education and Research Community Center at the Weeks Bay Reserve. The $1,100,000 — 3,675-square-foot project includes a raised lecture hall and classroom, deck, common areas, multi-purpose space and tower between the two buildings.

The Education Building provides a classroom that will be used for various activities including K-12 local and regional school class visits, formal workshops and conservation class and course work, summer estuary camps, local and regional conferences, research symposia, and public and community meetings.

The Multi-purpose Building will be used to support activities in the Education Building as well as provide space for research, stewardship, and outreach activities at Weeks Bay Reserve. TAG has provided full A-E, interior design and construction administration services including all site work, parking and fencing.
